The Doll’s Festival ( Hina-Matsuri )
On the 3rd day of March, Japanese people celebrate the day for their little girls,
decorating traditional style dolls ( ohina-sama ) and peach flowers, with praying for the childeren’s happiness and good growth, eating tsirashi-zushi ( special sushi ), drinking sirozake( white and sweet sake ) and hamaguri-no-ushiojiru ( light clam soup) .
