On the 1st day of May of this year, it is called Hachijū-Hachiya(八十八夜), It is counted the 88th day from the first day of spring, Risshun(立春). At around this time, Japanese people pick tea, these are the shoots which have grown up. It has been said that tea is a panacea for curing, a medicine for relaxing and becoming younger. The leaves which are picked the Hachijū-Hachiya is the best tea for longevity and auspiciousness. Let's enjoy the new green tea of this season!
